Dear friends in Christ,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’m writing to you from Memphis, TN on a continuing ed trip with other young, early career UCC clergy. I’ll be with this same group of colleagues for twice yearly professional development programs for the next 4 years, and so far it seems like a really good group.
We’ve spent a lot of time doing workshops/team building at the hotel, but last night a number of us were able to go out for a drink on Beale St. Today we did go out to the Civil Rights Museum which is located in the motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. It was definitely a powerful museum given the history of what happened there. I attached a couple pictures.
I’ll be back in Middlebury at the end of the week, but this Sunday we will have a guest preacher, the Rev. Betsey Polglase, who, as many of you know, was ordained out of our church.
I don’t have any announcements to share today, but please pay attention to the things listed in the Crier, which will be sent out later in the week and in Church Life, which is being mailed out this week.
Peace,
Pastor Katrina
